4. hardly/ scarcely…when…刚一…就…. 。当when引导的从句中谓语使用过去时, 主句谓语使用过去完成时。当hardly/ scarcely至于句首, 谓语部分用部分倒装
I was so excited then that I phoned my husband hardly when I stepped out of my office building!
我当时是那样激动, 以致于刚迈出办公楼就给先生打起了电话!

我喜欢喝茶, 而她喜欢喝咖啡。
3. 虽然, 尽管
While I like the color of the hat, I do not like its shape.
