但 “from where从那儿since when从那时起”例外
This is our classroom, in the front of which there is a teacher’s desk.
The girl for which he had fought all his life no longer seemed important to him.
He is the man on whom I think you can depend .
He wants to be the son of whom his parents will be proud.
There are two left, one of which is almost finished, and the other of which is not quite.
The committee consists of 20 members, 5 of whom are women.
They went to Japan in 1988, after which they lived there .
用without…或with…
Thank you for your help, without which I couldn’t have succeed.
2. Before
It + will / would be+ 一段时间+ before …
It will be less than a month before we take the final examination.
It won’t/wouldn’t be long before…
It wouldn’t be long before they made a breakthrough.
3)before long= soon
Long before=long long ago
1)用介词despite或介词短语in spite of表示,但despite/ in spite of后只能接名词、代词或动词的ing形式
Though/although后接句子;though/although都不能同but连用。
4)用倒装句“adj/adv/n/v + as/ though+主语+其它 ”句型表示,该句型也不能同but连用。
Despite the bad weather ,we enjoyed our holiday.
In spite of the bad weather, we enjoyed our holiday.
Though/Although the weather was bad, we enjoyed our holiday.
While the weather was bad, we enjoyed our holiday.
Bad as the weather was, we enjoyed our holiday.
1)否定意义的词如:never , nothing, not until, not only, hardly, seldom…
Never in my life have I experienced such exciting journey.
Not until then did he realized he made such a silly mistake.
Not until everything was all right did Tom get back.
Only in this way can you learn English.
wound一般指外伤,如枪伤、刀伤,尤指战争、战斗中受伤;
injure一般指由于意外或事故造成损伤;
