“Cool” is a word with many meanings. It means a  little bit cold at first. As the world changes, the word has got many different meanings. 

   “Cool” can be used to express the feeling of interest in almost everything. When you see a famous car in the street, maybe you will say, “It's cool.” You may think  “He is cool” when you see your favorite football star.

    We all enlarge the meaning of “cool”. You can use it to mean “new” or “surprising”. Here is an interesting story. It shows the way the word is used. A teacher asked her students to write about the waterfall(瀑布) they had visited. One of her students just wrote, “It's so cool.” Maybe he thought it was the best way to show what he saw and felt.

    But the story also shows some people do not have enough words. Without “cool”, they have no other words to show the same feeling. Can you think of other words like “cool” with so many meanings? If you can, you are also very “cool”.
