Passage 3
One night a man went for a walk in the country. He came to a well and looked into it. “Oh,the moon has fallen down into the well.”He said to himself, “I must get it out.”Then he ran home to get a rope and threw it into the well.He wanted to catch the moon and pull it up.
“Catch the end of the rope and hold it.”He said, “I will pull you up.”
But the rope fell round a stone in the well.He pulled and pulled, but the stone did not move a bit. Then he pulled even harder and the rope went up into the air. When he was lying on his back,he saw the moon in the sky and he was very happy.
“Good,”he said, “I have put the moon back into the sky.”
