 living; not dead  活的，有生命的 [通常置于名词前作定语]

1. We sell live fish.

猫在戏弄那只活老鼠。

Alive

 living, not dead 活着的 [不可用于名词前]

1. Are your grandparents still alive?

你的祖父母还在世吗？

2. You are very lucky to be alive after that accident.

你大难不死可真幸运。

3. I don’t know whether he’s alive or dead.

我不知道他现在是否还活着。

【注意】

1. live可以用作动词、形容词以及副词；而alive仅用作形容词。

2. live用作形容词表示”活着的”，通常置于名词前作定语；而alive通常不用于名词前。
